We are pleased to announce that the 2025 Isle of Man Ship Registry Charity Golf Day is now open for entries. The event will take place at Rowany Golf Club in Port Erin at 1.00pm on Friday 15th August 2024 and as usual all funds raised will be donated to the Isle of Man King George V Fund for Sailors.
The competition will be a shotgun start, held as a 4 player per team stableford event with the highest 2 individual scores on each hole counting towards the team score. Max handicap will be 28.
Afterwards, the prize presentation and raffle will take place in clubhouse and players can enjoy a buffet and a glass of beer or wine.
For corporate entries, the entry fee is £200 for a team 4. For non-corporate entries, the entry fee is £130. For this, all players will receive:
- Competition entry with team prizes for 1st/2nd/3rd and individual prizes for 4x spot prizes
- Hot & cold buffet afterwards
- Free gift bag (1 per team)
- On course refreshments
As in previous years, each hole on the course can be sponsored and this is how we raise the majority of the funds for charity. We will place the sponsors’ name/logo on the tee box, on the scorecard and we will acknowledge all sponsors in media coverage where possible. To try to encourage new sponsors, we have reduced the cost of sponsoring a hole to £100.00. Sponsorship opportunities are available to anyone, not just those who are entering a team! We are also grateful to receive raffle prizes, either in advance or brought on the day.
Please note that for both team entries and hole sponsorship, we have to abide by a ‘first-come’ process so please respond as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Please email martyn.oates@gov.im for team entries and sponsorship, or any other queries you may have.
