David Gooberman is jointly in charge of the survey team at the Ship Registry covering daily operations and oversight of all Isle of Man registered vessels. David says the brilliant part of his role is that you have absolutely no idea what question is coming at you next and this keeps you on your toes.

David moved ashore into the Ship Registry 14 years ago and brought with him seagoing and commercial experience into a regulatory environment as there is so much cross over.

Outside the office David's passions include his family with his 4 children and looking for outdoor adventures, writing the occasional guide book and discovering the uniqueness of multiday solo self-supported bike-packing events.
