Registrar of Ships
The sucessful applicant will, under the direction of the Client Liaison and Registration Manager, take responsibility for the accurate, efficient and effective registration of ships on the Isle of Man Ship Register. The successful applicant will ensure the efficiency and quality of service of the Ships Registry is maintained by:
- Authorising changes to the Ships Register and ensuring such changes are accurate, legal and timely.
- Ensuring work is correctly prioritised, allocated and accurately dealt with within time constraints and providing management support to administrative staff.
- Providing information and advice and ensuring continuity of service to Shipping Companies, Ship Owners, their legal representatives, surveyors and other interested parties including foreign registries.

Technical Officer
We are looking for a technical assistant to provide essential support to the survey team.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the scheduling and allocation of surveyors who are required to attend ships and yachts internationally;
- Reviewing Ship Security Plans and Ship Security Assessments submitted by ships’ managers and submitting the review for final approval by a nominated Surveyor;
- Preparing Security Plan Approvals for signature by the nominated Surveyor;
- Inputting and uploading technical information on ships and yachts to MAVIS (Marine Administration Vessel Information System);
- Ensuring that vessels’ technical files are prepared and correctly maintained for ships and yachts.
