The Isle of Man Ship Registry has been awarded Best Global Ship Registry 2020 by World Commerce Review.
World Commerce Review, a global trade platform and publication, promotes globalisation and supports some of the world’s leading business and political organisations.
The award is the second year in a row that the Ship Registry has won the title. The publication awarded the title to the Registry based on the commitment to detail and customer care provided by the team and were impressed with the skill, knowledge and awareness provided.
The news follows a highly successful year for the Registry, having already won a first place on the prestigious Paris MoU white list, an international white list which ensures ships are compliant with international regulations; a first time the Registry topped the list in its 35-year history. This was then followed by a nomination for International Business of the Year at the 2019 Isle of Man Awards for Excellence.
Cameron Mitchell, Director of the Isle of Man Ship Registry, commented:
‘This is a significant achievement for the Isle of Man Ship Registry team. Not only does this add an element of prestige to our reputation as an international maritime centre of excellence, but I hope it will act as a nucleus around which other shipping business can grow on the Isle of Man, so the benefits will be felt in the wider Isle of Man shipping community.
I am very proud of my team, who continuously strive to offer our clients the highest quality of professional and technical customer service’.
