Isle of Man REgister (Part II)
The small ships register is available for locally owned vessels of less than 24 metres in length. It is not a title register and therefore a mortgage cannot be registered against any vessel on it. The registration procedure is simple with just a couple of forms to be completed. Registration lasts five years after which it can be renewed as required.

The forms required for registration are as follows:
- Application form to Register (SSR 1A)
- Bill of Sale if changing ownership (Reg 11)
- Builders Certificate (Reg 12) if new build
- Deletion Certificate if previously registered
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Application Form to Register (SSR 1)
- Bill of Sale if changing ownership (Reg 11)
- Builders Certificate (Reg 12) if new build
- Deletion Certificate if previously registered
- Passport
- Utility Bill
