Change of Vessel Name
In the first instance, Contact the Registry to see if the desired name is available and reserve if necessary. Next, complete a REG 2 form and if vessel is subject to CSR, complete CSR amendment form 2. Depending on vessel type, new blue cards (CLC, Bunker and Nairobi Wreck) will be required.
If the vessel is over 24m in length, the registry will need to contact class in an appropriate port and arrange for them to confirm the vessel has been carved and marked with the new name and amend the vessel’s certificates as necessary.
